The nut is engaged by placing the Nut Capturing Socket over the nut. A twist of the Nut Capturing Socket aligns both hexes (hex on face of Nut Capturing socket and hex of internal socket) so the nut passes through the face plate hex and into the socket hex. Once the nut is threaded down, a twist of the Nut Capturing Socket with a ratchet takes the tension from the face plate hex allowing for the socket to be pulled away. To remove the nut, engage the nut with the socket. The nut will enter the face plate hex, then twist the Nut Capturing Socket to align both hexes. Push the Nut Capturing Socket over the nut until the Nut Capturing Socket becomes flush with the surface of the object the nut is threaded on. The tension from the outer face plate hex will hold the nut in place as it is being removed.
