The Raynham Park & Recreation Department has announced its 2011 Summer Programs. The Raynham Park & Recreation Department has announced its 2011 Summer Programs. Summer Playground Programs for grades 1-8 are held in two sessions: Session 1, July 5-July 22; Session 2, July 27-Aug. Registration is required. The deadline for Session 2 is July 15. There is a $25 late fee for registrations received after the deadline.

Children will participate in activities including arts & crafts, sports, outdoor games, field trips and entertainers, all based on weekly themes. A Half-Day Program is offered, from 8 a.m. To noon at the LaLiberte School. The program extends beyond noon on field trip days. Field trips are scheduled on Wednesdays unless otherwise noted. Children must wear their program T-shirts on field trip days.

The Full-Day Program runs from 8a.m. At the LaLiberte School.

Children in the Full-Day Program will participate in the morning program, including all field trips and will have the opportunity to participate in the Raynham Public Library Summer Reading Program. The Full Day Program includes additional field trips to Bridgewater State University for a recreational swim. The program participants are required to bring a lunch and a snack; lunch is not included in the program. Summer Playground registration forms are available at the Park & Recreation Office at 2254 King Phillip St., Raynham or online at www.town.raynham.ma.us. Tadpole Playground Program The Tadpole Playground Program is for children ages 4-6 who will be either attending kindergarten in September of have just completed kindergarten. The children will enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day, including arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, story time and more.

The program is from 8 a.m. To noon at the L. Merrill School. There are four sessions: Session 1 is July 5-15; Session 2, July 18-29; Session 3, Aug. 1-12; and Session 4, Aug. The cost is $95 for sessions 1-3, $48 for session 4.

Youth Tennis Program - July 11-Aug. For ages U10, Young Stars, Thursdays and Fridays 8-9 a.m., $120; for ages U16, Future Stars, Thursdays and Fridays, 9-10:30 a.m., $150. Registration deadline is July 5. Monday Night Tennis in Raynham - For ages 4-8, Young Stars, 4:30-5:30 p.m.; for ages 9-11, Future Stars, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

And for ages 12 and over, Tournament Team, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Registration deadline is July 5. Teen Kayak Adventure Week - Monday-Thursday, July 18-21, 8:30 a.m.-noon. For ages 12-16, four days of fun and adventure at the Norton Reservoir. Cost is $150. Registration deadline is July 6.
