Acer Bengal Motherboard Manual Software

6/23/2018

I need to reset my BIOS back to default factory settings and the only commands I can see in the BIOS setup, which might relate to to this are, 'Load Optimal Defaults' or by pressing F9 for optimized defaults. Can I reset whilst in BIOS and if so are these the correct commands to use. Please note that my current BIOS is the original version supplied at pc purchase and has not been upgraded. I assume that resetting the BIOS does not restore my OS, system files, programmes etc etc to factory default. I have been trying to find a service manual for this pc without much success and would value any assistance in trying to locate one. Regards Lucks.

Hi Freeza Many thanks. After resetting BIOS my problem cleared. Original Problem:My CPU fan went to a permanent full speed condition despite good CPU temperatures. This problem occurred shortly after the installation of the Speedfan utility and I thought that possibly BIOS may have been corrupted. BIOS was still indicating SMART enabled for the CPU fan. Resetting the BIOS cleared the problem and the SMART configuration is working normally. I am not saying that Speedfan was the problem, I was only using it in its monitoring mode, however it can also be configured to control fan speed.

Uninstalling Speedfan did not clear the problem. Re motherboard manual.

After much web searching I found some useful information on a similar board whose layout is virtually the same as the ACER. The board is Foxconn Bengal RS780. Thanks for your help Lucks.

I understand, and I appreciate your looking deep into both CPU's. Are we talking about, 1) Intel Core2 Duo E6550, which has a maximum frequency rate, ('Speed'), of 2.33GigaHertz? 4MegaByte of L2 Cache, 1333MegaHertz Front Side Bus? (4MB L2 cache / 1333MHz FSB) Based on the Conroe Core technology, and the 65nanometer architecture?

0.85Volts to 1.50Volts - voltage range? 2) Intel Core2 Quad Q9550, which has a maximum frequency rate of 2.83GHz? 2 times 3MB of L2 Cache, 1333MegaHertz FSB, Voltage range - 0.85 Volts to 1.3625 Volts?

Based on the Yorkfield-6M Core technology, and the 45NanoMeter architecture? I just look at what motherboard chipset is used, then if it will support both a Dual Core, and a Quad Core; I look at the voltage range, and core technology/architecture. So we are talking about a Gateway GT5692? Components >Motherboards >4006272R - Foxconn (Bengal) RS780 Motherboard >Specifications, Ha! So we are NOT talking an Intel CPU! (Processor) Apparently not discussing a Gateway GT5692 Desktop PC, either.

What desktop computer are we talking about Virgil, and what is the motherboard chipset? Regards, joecoolvette Apr 21, 2013 . 1) 2) Product Views; B - Processor Core Power Connector; is the connector on the motherboard for the 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable.

Regards, joecoolvette Oct 27, 2012 . One of two possibilities; the Motherboard or power supply. In my case it was the Motherboard.

Those cheap capacitors tend to go bad over time without being used. I purchased a replacement motherboard(Foxconn RS 780 'bengal') from a place in WI. Skyline on Ebay. I would do a search on Ebay for Gateway Foxconn Bengal RS780 Motherboard. Then get the number and call. You can use the old processor, ram, and maybe the graphics card, but I'd run the onboard graphics first(if you do happen to have replaced the motherboard) to make sure the graphics card isn't causing an issue. You will need to do some research and reading on the net about installing new motherboards and hardware. Garmin Brazilian Portuguese Text File For Gps on this page.
